Transform your Webinar Invitations into Attention Magnets

Planning a webinar? Here are a few tips from our experts on designing webinar invites that would draw attendees like never before:

1. Plan in Advance

This may sound redundant, but the simple fact remains that many webinars fail to attract more attendees because there is no sufficient lead time given prior to the webinar. Ensure that you have enough time on hand to design your invites in sync with your event. With sufficient time on your hands you now have the flexibility of promoting your webinar through various promotional media and attract more registrants and attendees.

2. What are you selling?

The biggest turn off for a potential attendee could be an invite that focuses only on the product, not the event. Remember that the primary objective of your invitation is to instigate people to register for your webinar, not to induce them to buy your product or services. Therefore, the focus of your invite should be the event and the benefit the registrant will derive out of attending the web event.

3. Where’s the meat?

Set the focus right for your invitation. Let it be detailed, but specific. Design it so that all natural queries of a potential attendee like date, time, topic, and key highlights get answered clearly in the invite itself. The invitation content should be clear, concise and contain all the necessary details.

4. What’s in it for me?

People usually go to a webinar for business related reasons such as learning about saving money, enhancing productivity, etc. or for personal reasons like bettering their knowledge about something, or simply for a chance of winning the prize in an accompanying offer! Considering your target attendees, your invitation should have enough motivational strategies to immediately prompt people in both categories to register for your webinar immediately. Your invitation should showcase the key points and emphasize what the attendees would gain from the event.

5. Take a Test Drive

This may be a common promotional line for offers, but it works wonders for webinar invitations too. Test every aspect of your invitation from subject line to content, and monitor the implications of the changes. Some times even the slightest changes indicated through these test drives can have a significant impact on the entire promotional campaign.

Get Set Go…

Make your invites the first step towards a successful webinar. Focus on your target audience, and send out invites that encourage invitees to register for the event. Let your invites stimulate interest, drive participation and create synergy for your webinar. Happy inviting!!
